Top Ten Tuesday – My favourite Books

So it’s Tuesday and which means it’s time for TTT a weekly meme hosted by that artsy reader girl. This week’s top ten is a freebie so I’m gonna list my 10 all-time favourite books. I know it may seem like a boring choice but since my blog is still rather new I thought I would share my favourite books with you after all 🙂
And FYI the books are not listed in any order of priority. No need to make it harder for myself 😉

HP coverHarry Potter by J. K Rowling
I’m from the nineties so do I even have to explain myself? But really, these books are amazing and I do believe you learn so much as a human being reading these books. All, especially children should read these books! I will definitely not get tired of rereading them.

S coverSlated Trilogy by Teri Terry
These books were just so good and thrilling. That’s how I remember them though. But it is a long time since I read them so maybe it is time for a reread.

THG coverThe Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Also really great, of course. I remember how I just couldn’t put these books down. And how long time it took for me to get it into my head that they were really gonna fight to the death and that only one would live – naive-newbie-dystopian-me 😉

D coverDivergent by Veronica Roth
Last dystopian I promise. I have a kind of love/hate relationship to this series but I still love it especially the first book. I remember reading it and how I started from the beginning once I had read the last page of the first book. That’s gonna mean something right?

EDSSOPEHR coverEn Dag Skinner Solen Også På En Hunds Røv by Sanne Munk Jensen
To something completely different. This is a danish coming of age novel told from the perspective of a 25ish-year-old girl, through flashbacks. Truly great! Just too bad it isn’t translated into other languages as far as I know. If you were wondering the title translated into English is “One day the sun will also shine upon a dogs ass” I know a bit weird title but the book is great!

WWL coverWe Were Liars by E. Lockhart
I remember how shocked I was by the plot twist. This book stayed with me for a long time so that’s why it here.

MBY coverMe Before You by Jojo Moyes
This was also such a good book. Both so fun and sad. I do not think I have cried so much over a book like this one. I haven’t read the following books about Lou Clark out of fear that they will ruin my experience with this one… (If any of you have read them, is it worth it?)

PAP coverPride And Prejudice by Jane Austen
I am a bit of a hopeless romantic so it may be obvious that I love this book. So sweet and romantic :))))

TBT coverThe Book Theif
Such a special book that tells an important story which is both beautiful and sad!

B coverBarndommens Gade by Tove Ditlevsen
Also a Danish coming of age novel. This book follows the girl, Ester growing up in the 30’s Copenhagen. Ester is such a gentle, special and unique character you just wanna give a hug. I read this in school many years ago and Esters character and Ditlevsens’ writing is not something you just forget. (She has written many other great things as well, I am a huge fan of her poetry!)

I guess that makes 10. This was, of course, a really hard choice! I guess kill your darlings would be the right thing to say…
What is your favourite book? Did you participate in this week TTT? If, please leave a link to your post, I would love to read what you turned this freebie into!

    1. Oh yeah, then I get if you didn’t become as shocked as I did. That is sometimes the bad thing about reviews. As well as if a book is praised in a lot of reviews and then you read it but just get dissapoined because your expectaions were too high…

      1. Yes! Sometimes non-spoilery reviews are spoilery. Like, if there’s a book about someone with cancer and a review says “I didn’t like the end,” I basically translate that to “The character died.”
