July Round-Up

Hello everyone! How are you doing?!

Long time no see. So, I haven’t posted anything on my blog for 20 days! (That’s a while…) Nor have I been around the blogosphere. The latter I feel most bad about. The reason for this absent is I guess actually a great/acceptable reason; I have been reading. At the end of July, I finally decided to read A Court Of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas. This book was great! Truly great, however, my relationship ended up like an obsession and almost an addiction to this series. I couldn’t do anything but reading. So while you probably have been productive book bloggers I have been at home doing nothing but reading. I am now finished with the entire series (with a serious book hangover (seriously I do not know what to do with my self.)) and found it time to return to reality. So here I am, back! I know it is way past the 31st of July but I thought a July round-up was a good way to return and catch up.

Books I have read this month

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline ★★★

RPO cover

I “read” this book as an audiobook and I found it amazingly liberating. I could do so many things while listening to this. I do however still prefer a real book. Read my review here!

Always And Forever Lara Jean by Jenny Han ★★★

AAFLJ cover

So I finally read the third and last book in this sweet series! I liked it and strongly consider reading more by Jenny Han. I hope to post my review later this month.

A Court Of Thorns And Roses by Sarah J. Maas ★★★★★

ACOTAR

This was a rollercoaster experience! In the beginning, I was almost prepared to give it two stars. However, this turned out to be one of the best books I have read this year! Why did I wait so long to read this book?

A Court Of Mist And Fury by Sarah J. Maas ★★★★★

ACOMAF cover

There is always something special about the first book in a series but I might think I liked this even more!

Other things on Bookish Stuff

In July I posted my review of Holly Bourne’s book Am I Normal Yet?. I decided to do it a bit differently and twist the regular review a bit up. Three reasons why you should read Am I Normal Yet? by Holly Bourne

I also posted my review of Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody. Read my review here!

In July I also participated in the weekly meme Top Ten Tuesday. Here are the TTT’s I joined: Throwback Books I’d slay a lion to get early!, Best books I have read in 2018 (so far) and lastly Books with sensory reading memories.

Lastly, I also did my first ever tag – Currently reading tag. Check out the answers to my reading habits.

Even though I have been absent July turned out to be a great month for me. I have read four books and done seven posts. I think that is record almost 🙂

What’s up for August!

So only half of August is left, however, I still hope to read one or two more books (I have read three already). I also hope to post my review of Always And Forever Lara Jean. I think of doing a review series of the ACOTAR series now that I have read the entire thing.

How has your July been?  What have you read? And what should I read after ACOTAR? I am restless. (I am seriously thinking of rereading the whole series lol.)

  1. Haha, why’d you almost end up giving A Court Of Thorns And Roses 2 stars? I’ve been wanting to start that series forever but I keep postponing it😅

    1. Because at the begging I thought the story was week. I didn’t se a point in what happened. I was very wrong though!
      You should definitely start! 😄

  2. I don’t blame you, I liked the second book of the ACOTAR series A LOT more than the first one and I agree the first one has a really weak start! and I’m really thinking about reading To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, I was supposed to read it before the movie but then life happened and now the movie is out haha.
