5 Books I Plan to Read This Fall

Always when I make a tbr I rarely read the books on it. I probably read some of them but I always tend to stray and read other books which aren’t on my tbr and it just never gets any smaller. So for this fall I will only make a tbr consisting of five books in the hope of success. So here goes! Five books I plan to read this fall. ๐Ÿ–ค

And I Darken by Kiersten White

I actually started reading ‘And I Darken’ today. And at the moment I am quite enjoying it. I think it will be all that I hope for. I have read several great reviews and I hope it will be something like ‘Damsel’ by Elana K. Arnold but lets see ๐Ÿ˜‰

Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson

This book has been on my tbr waaaay too long. It is embarrassing really. But I have decided now is the time. I really want to read the book and if I love it I will probably read Shout as well.

Til Min Sรธster by Dy Plambeck

One thing I am a bit ashamed of is the amount of Danish books I read or books by Danish authors which is close to zero. Last year I read in total one book by a Danish author and another book by a Swedish author. I want to do better this year and so far I haven’t read any book by a Danish author. So I am a bit behind… This book however is by a Danish author and was published this year. Translated to English the title is ‘For my sister’ which I quite like. I have a close relationship to my sister so I am really looking forward to discover what reading experience this book will give me.

Wilder Girls by Rory Power

I bought Wilder Girls just last week so I am so ready to read this book! I have read many good things about it so I can’t wait to read it. And the cover is just sooo beautiful!

Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim

I haven’t yet found the time to read Spin the Dawn even though I bought the book a few months back. But I have decided I have to read it this fall. I am really looking forward to this fantasy YA and I have hight expectations. Hopefully it won’t disappoint.

That were the five book I plan to read this fall. I would be happy to hear what you have planed! ๐Ÿ–ค

Best,
Nicoline

  1. This is a great list of books! Speak will definitely change your perspective. I have Wilder Girls on my TBR for fall as well, when I’ll get to it is another thing entirely lol. I’m interested to see what you think about it when you do though, are you planning on writing a review for it once you’ve finished?

  2. I quite like the idea of having fewer books on a tbr for quite a “longer” period of time, as fall is usually more than a month (depending on your area, ahah!) — Goodluck! May you read most of them ๐Ÿ™‚

Speak has also been on my virtually wanna read for a while.. While i’ve seen it available from my library I just kind of wasn’t in the right mood for it? Xd

    1. Haha true, thank you!
I know that feeling. I also have to be in a certain kind of mood to read books that are dealing with tougher themes.

  3. Ooooooooooh And I Darken, Wilder Girls and Speak are on my TBR too! I really enjoyed Spin the dawn, it was my biggest surprise these past few months. And I feel you when it comes to reading books by authors from my own country, I barely read those as well. Bad, I know.

    1. Uhh so happy to hear that! Now I am even more excited to read Spin the Dawn. Maybe it will be the one I choose to read first after I have finished And I Darken. And speaking of that book. I am about half way through and I love it! The writing is amazing!

  4. You have quite a mix of genres there by sounds of it. Good luck getting through all five and reading more Danish authors in the future. I know I’m guilty of the same with Australian authors. When I read their books it tends to be a coincidence rather than planned.

    1. Yes I like to switched between genres. Thank you! Yeah I know that feeling, they just doesn’t sound as exciting as UK/US books right? ๐Ÿ˜‰
